Steven C. Steinbacher
Prior to co-founding Criterion Healthcare in 2005, Mr. Steinbacher spent two years working with The Cogdell Group as a senior project manager. His responsibilities included project management and market development for one of the organization’s largest clients, NorthEast Medical Center. This included the 66,000 square foot Gateway Medical Office Building as well as a number of other projects in early development evaluation.
With the Gateway Medical Office Building, Mr. Steinbacher coordinated and worked with architects, general contractors, tenant/investors and the hospital to deliver the facility on time and under budget. This same focus ensured the overall financial and operational success of the projects which he managed. Additionally, he was responsible for marketing, leasing and equity sales to prospective physicians throughout the medical community.
Before joining The Cogdell Group, Mr. Steinbacher was the Director of Business Development for SportsCapsule, a video technology company. As an original member of the company, he was instrumental in the initial funding of the company, and he raised over $30 million in venture capital from the Walt Disney Company and Citi Group. Previously, he was the Strategic Account Executive for Unisource Worldwide, the largest wholesale printing paper distributor in the United States. He was responsible for sales, marketing and operational management for the company’s largest multi-million dollar national accounts.
Mr. Steinbacher is married to a family physician and has three children. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from UNC Chapel Hill and is a licensed real estate broker.
